Instructors
Raz Chan is a certified MMA conditioning coach, professional martial artist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) fighter. He has won gold medals both locally and internationally. His most recent achievements include double gold at the US Open Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships, bronze at the Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship, gold at the Las Vegas International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu championships and silver at the World No-Gi Championships. He is a certified self defense instructor and holds a legitimate purple belt from 3rd degree Jean Jacques Machado black belt Todd Nathanson.
He has taught his popular Women’s Cardio Kickboxing Boot Camps since 2005 and continues to do so to this day. In 2006, he realized that the emerging sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) was growing in popularity amongst not only men but women as well. He also knew 99.9% of the general population was not interested in stepping into the Octagon to fight. However, the fitness benefits of MMA conditioning, kickboxing, and BJJ were far too great to ignore. Knowing this fact, he began to incorporate MMA components into his fitness programs. The benefits he has seen in his clients confirmed that he was on to a successful formula.
Since then, he has expanded his services to include corporate fitness classes, private and public BJJ lessons, and seminars on self-defence.
Sarah DeLorenzo is a certified MMA conditioning coach and personal trainer. She began as an enthusiastic cardio kickboxing student with Raz Chan Fitness for the last five years. In August of 2011 she expressed her desire to try her hand in competition. Without any prior sparring or competition experience she dedicated herself to two months of rigourous sparring sessions. In October 2011 she stepped into the ring for the first time in modified muay thai kickboxing performing so well she gained the respect of the audience.
She is also concurrently training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and working towards her blue belt. She also loves trying out different fitness programs, including hot yoga, CrossFit and the occasional kettlebell workout! An ardent athlete, she coaches and brings out the best in her clients, encouraging them to achieve their fitness goals in a gentle and effective manner.
